The dangel

 

       Lily was the only daughter of a powerful angel family. They were the leaders of the army that were fighting the demons who always tried to invade their land. There was a tradition to be chosen as a devil or an angel when little angel turned sixteen. The day had arrived for the ceremony

           “So, this is how it is done. It depends on the good and evil things. If an angel has done more evil things, they become devils. If not, they may remain as angels”, the guardian exclaimed. Then he turned and said, “let’s get started”.

​​ All angels formed a line, and they were turned into their permanent form except one, Anvelo. He was the one who bullied Lily throughout previous years. He had only done evil things for his entire life. So, he was banished to the demon world. “Lily, it’s your turn”, said the guardian. When she was chosen, something was off. 

                 “Lily, you have become a dangle, the most powerful creatures to roam the land”, the guardian announced. All the others were speechless, and they stared with big bulb eyes.

The guardian continued his speech. “There had only been one dangel before you. Becoming a dangel is the rarest thing that anyone can accomplish”.

 

Everyone was teleported back to their whereabouts while Lily was kept by the guardian. The guardian started advising her, “Your angel and demon powers have matched up to the same level.  If you exceeded your evil deeds, you will be banished like Anvelo. Although, you can use your demon powers to protect angels and to increase your angel powers."

    From then on, she used her powers for the greater good. She was good at using her angel powers but was weak when it comes to demon powers. She had to train to make it powerful but keep full control of it.
​  One day, when she was on patrol checking for demons, she saw an angel crying. She flew to her and comforted the angel.

​  “Why are you crying?” she asked.
“Why do you care? I’ve been fighting you for a long time now, and you always won. You see, I’m a demon who turned to an angel during the ceremony”, she continued. “I was banished from the demon world and all of my friends and family despise me now”. She continued to cry.
​​ Lily soothed her again and understood her situation. She took the angel on a tour around the angel land and talked about the positive side of being an angel. Very soon they became very good friends, and the angel, who’s name was Brianna, became lily’s sidekick and taught her how to use her demon powers.
​​ Lily got better and better using her powers and soon mastered it. Meanwhile, hey previous bully, Anvelo had become the most powerful demon by training under the demon guardian.

He was now the leader of the army that had promised to destroy lily and the angel land.  

 Lily and Brianna won many fights against Anvelo as Lily taught her how to use her angel powers.

 Brianna was now as powerful as Lily’s angel side. Anvelo despises defeat so throughout his battles he learns the weaknesses of angels and plots a master plan. 

His plan was to fake a peace treaty and meet the angels unsuspected and 

kill them. So, he sent a letter, and they received it.

            

                                 Dear Lily and Brianna

 

            I’ve found the error of my ways,

     and I apologize for the destruction.

      Meet me at the border,

             I want to sign a peace .

             (Only you two tho)

“He expects us to believe that?! How dumb is he?!” exclaimed Brianna. 

“I know right, he is so stupid. We’ll go there anyways to defeat him, I bet he doesn’t suspect a thing. They started laughing and they were blank.

“What’s the border?” asked Brianna.

“Oh, that’s the place where the angel and demon world unite”, Explained Lily.
The two friends journeyed to the border, and they met Anvelo with an actual peace treaty. They were shocked.

​​“Hello friends. Did you think that I was lying? Well, I’m not. I want to change. You see, since the guardian banished me to this world, I can’t cross the border”, Continued Anvelo. “Would you mind coming here to sign it?”

​​“Lily, should we trust him?” asked Brianna. “No, of course not!” Lily replied. “But we must do something, she continued. “You stay here, I’ll do it”. She entered the other side. When she was going to sign it, she was held by two guards. So, the fight began.
​Lily and Brianna fought fiercely until…. Anvelo struck a laser to lily while she was fighting the guards. She didn’t see it, so Brianna blocked it. Lily immediately took her to a healer and fled the scene.
          

“Brianna is alive, but she is in a coma for about three months”, said the healer. “I’m sorry but you’ll have to wait”, she continued.

​Now it was up to Lily to defeat Anvelo. She took every single soldier and started the last battle. She was filled with anger, so her demon powers increased. She did not become a demon because she used it in a good way. The guardian helped her as well. 

                    The fight lasted for about a week. It was a hard battle between the opposing teams for victory. Everyone was sketched out, they got hurt continuously. The angel land was destroyed time to time and the attacks increased from hour to hour. 

No one had time to rest at all. They learned that demon cannot stand the light for a long time, so they used that as their advantage. And finally, they won!
​Lily tried banishing or killing Anvelo, but he jumped into a portal after he said, “Mark my words peasant, I sworn to kill you and I will”. Lily did not care one single bit about what he said as she was anyways more powerful than him.
​Later, she and her partner were known as the heroes of the land. A month later, she was crowned as the ruler because of her heroic deeds.
​ On her coronation day, the queen of the universe arrived! Everyone immediately bowed.
​ “Lily, I have not much time left, that Anvelo person had destroyed my portal a few months ago. That’s why I couldn’t help you”. She continued, “I’m sorry. Since I failed to protect you. According to the rules, you are now the queen of the universe. I give you the power, use it for the greater good.

                  Just like that, she was gone. From that day onwards, everyone respected Lily, including the demons.

​Everything was going normally until one day, Brianna woke up! “Brianna!?” Lily screeched hugging her friend.
​“Lily…. is...is that you? You look like the queen”. “Yes, it’s me, long story” Lily said. She explained everything and Brianna was speechless.
​“I can’t believe it, I’m so happy for you” she said. A few moments later everything was back to normal, and everyone lived happily ever after, but no one knew the whereabouts of Anvelo.
