Conservation of Nature
Conservation of nature
Ahh, nature.
It’s beautiful trees, flowers, and animals. What could possibly replace the
beauty of the jaw dropping things that nature presents to us? The birds
chirping, the sound of the flowing lake, the sound of chopping a tree. Wait,
slow down. Chopping a tree? That is done by none other than man himself. Conservation
is when we protect and let something be. Many of us ignore the fact of the
conservation of nature. But what is it? Nature conservation is protecting all living
beings and letting them to live peacefully.
Nature is harmed by many
things. It can be harmed by manmade stuff or even nature itself. Volcano
eruptions, earthquakes, are some of the examples how nature can harm itself. We
can call them ‘natural disasters’. Where
can the list even start? One main reason to why nature is harmed is deforestation.
Deforestation is caused when people cut down trees in a large scale. When this
is done, animals loose their shelter and food, one of the main things that they
need to survive. Next up, another important thing is hunting. People hunt
animals to get meat and other body parts of animals, to make money. Not only
the animals die, but they feel pain and misery as the people do not let them to
live peacefully. These two reckless activities cause a major part of the food chain to slowly
change and get destroyed. Consumers will have nothing to consume as they could
be dead or in a less quantity. Not only that, but the amount of some species
might also increase in number or reduce rapidly which will disrupt the food
chain. Next, we have acid rain. Acid rain is caused when sulfur dioxide and
nitric oxide is mixed with rainwater. These gases are caused by the burning of
coal, oil and natural gases. Acid rain can burn human skin, destroy plants and eggs
of animals. Due to these reasons, the balance of nature is interrupted.
Now you may ask, how to stop this from happening. Well, that’s easy. People who do those activities can stop them, or at least reduce them. Saving animal or nature programs could be started. The community who is concerned about this situation can help out by protesting and encouraging people to do the right thing. Hunters can stop killing animals for useless reasons and provide them their freedom instead. When all of this happens, everyone will notice a peaceful change in the environment. That’s all part of nature conservation.
The world can change
into a peaceful and happy place where there is harmony between man a nature. I
suggest everyone to do right thing even if you are doing the wrong thing as it’s
never too late to change. I wish that everyone will contribute to nature
conservation.
